Submitting a notice of infringement
To be effective, your notice must include: a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner (or an authorized person); identification of the copyrighted work; identification of the allegedly infringing material and information sufficient to locate it (e.g. the account email or file identifier); your contact information (address, phone, email); a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for them.
Counter-notices
If content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice including: your signature; identification of the removed material and its prior location; a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake or misidentification; your contact information; and your consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. federal court for your district (or, if outside the U.S., the District of Maryland).
Repeat infringers
We will terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
False claims
Submitting a knowingly false notice or counter-notice may expose you to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees, under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
